““It might be a little bumpy at times, but... family will always be family.”
this delightful Kansas City print shop owned & operated by two spunky sisters
Sisters, Michelle and Angie, grew up military brats and were lucky enough to experience life in [West] Germany, South Korea, and finally good ole Southern USA. Their folks raised them on Star Trek [dad], scary movies [mom], table-top games[mom & dad], working with your hands "attempting" to fix stuff [dad], and the best Korean food around [mom].
michelle
Michelle's love of relief printing and the letterpress process began at the Kansas City Art Institute and was fostered during her 5 year stint at Hammerpress, another KC printshop. She is particularly passionate about creating hand-carved linocut illustrations.
Additionally, she enjoys teaching and has taught classes at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art since 2006, workshops at Print League KC since 2017, as well as a letterpress class at the Kansas City Art Institute since 2018.
Michelle enjoys science-fiction immensely, but is wary of the day the aliens actually invade.

Angie, with a background in business, is the designated "left-brain" of the studio. With her disturbing love of organizational tools like spreadsheets, lists, & charts, it's a good fit. She has been a supporting force over the years, but upon joining the team full-time back in 2011, she has really whipped this place into shape.
Beyond her paper-pushing duties, Angie also stretches her creative muscles with their collaborative design work on design projects.
Although skeptical of nefariousness of aliens, Angie is also a lover of science fiction as well as some good ole nerdy epic fantasy.
